Pluartis Notes 2026 | Issue 01

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Welcome to the first edition of the Pluartis Notes: our way of keeping you connected to our news, stories, and events.

Pluartis arrives as a newly-founded creative ecosystem based at Avenue des Arts 56 in Brussels, dedicated to the advancement of knowledge and culture by pursuing socially worthwhile causes in scientific research, education, and arts. We operate as an open framework designed to foster professional rigour and cultural visibility through a multidisciplinary lens. By treating every project as a thorough study in creativity and emotional intelligence, we aim to provide a safe, collaborative environment where rich insights are distilled into tangible results.

To mark our debut, I am delighted to invite you to our very first thought-leadership event: The Pluartis Symposium 2026, where we intend to explore how ancient wisdom can help us face the realities of our digital world.

Architecture of the Soul | Building the Inner Citadel: 20–22 August 2026

From 20–22 August, we will gather in the historic Croatian city of Pula, for an immersive exploration of ancient wisdom applied to the modern world. In an era of constant change, the search for a stable internal foundation has never been more urgent.

Meet Our Keynote Speaker: Professor Angie Hobbs

We are honoured to be joined by Angie Hobbs, Professor of the Public Understanding of Philosophy Emerita at the University of Sheffield. A world-renowned voice in classical philosophy, Professor Hobbs will guide our journey through the “Architecture of the Soul,” translating ancient ethics into tools for modern resilience and leadership.

The Three-Day Journey (10:00–14:00 Daily)
  • Day 1: The Foundation – An exploration of Platonic ethics, commencing at the lively Roman Forum in the heart of Pula.
  • Day 2: The Philosophy Arena – A study of Stoic resilience at the gates of the magnificent Pula Arena, followed by a debate on AI and the “Digital Self.”
  • Day 3: The Synthesis – Integrating these classical structures into professional and personal life, concluding with a farewell Epicurean lunch.

This symposium is designed for a global community of thinkers, leaders, and creatives who want to step back and rethink what a meaningful life looks like in a high-tech age. All sessions will be conducted in English.
