This July we shift our focus to a creator who breathes vivid, tactile life into the world of literature. We are exceptionally proud to unveil the acclaimed Croatian freelance illustrator Tomislav Torjanac as our Artist of the Month.

As the final days of June draw to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on a transformative month of visual and psychological exploration guided by our Artist of the Month, Tanja Balac.

Born in Skopje, North Macedonia, Tanja Balac has established herself as one of the most compelling and dynamic voices in the contemporary Macedonian art scene. Over a career spanning more than three decades, Balac has continually pushed the boundaries of visual storytelling.

While preparations are fully underway for the Pluartis Symposium 2026 in Pula, we are already laying the foundational stones for our next intellectual chapter. We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Professor Mark G. Spencer has accepted our invitation to serve as the headline keynote speaker for the 2027 edition of the Pluartis Symposium.

We are delighted to announce Tanja Balac as our Artist of the Month for June 2026. A prominent figure in the Macedonian art scene and beyond, Balac has spent over three decades investigating the intersections of personal memory and collective social trauma.

As the month of May comes to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on the evocative imagery of our Artist of the Month, the Skopje-based photographer Tomislav Georgiev. Before we transition into a new month and a new creative perspective, we want to celebrate a milestone that truly defines Tomislav’s mastery of the lens.
