We are delighted to announce Tanja Balac as our Artist of the Month for June 2026. A prominent figure in the Macedonian art scene and beyond, Balac has spent over three decades investigating the intersections of personal memory and collective social trauma.

As the month of May comes to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on the evocative imagery of our Artist of the Month, the Skopje-based photographer Tomislav Georgiev. Before we transition into a new month and a new creative perspective, we want to celebrate a milestone that truly defines Tomislav’s mastery of the lens.

We are honoured to announce that the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula has officially accepted our invitation to act as a co-organizer and academic host for the upcoming Pluartis Symposium 2026: Philosophy Arena.

As we prepare for the Pluartis Symposium 2026 in Pula, we are mindful that the “Architecture of the Soul” is deeply connected to the land we inhabit and the traditions we preserve. We are delighted to announce that Dolija, an award-winning producer of premium extra virgin olive oil, has joined us as an official Istrian Heritage Partner.

As we count down to the Pluartis Symposium 2026 in Pula this August, our keynote speaker, Professor Angie Hobbs, has been at the forefront of global intellectual debate this week. From May 23–25, she was a featured contributor at the prestigious HowTheLightGetsIn festival in Hay-on-Wye, UK – the world’s largest philosophy and music festival.

At Pluartis, we believe that philosophy shouldn’t just live in textbooks – it should live in our cities and our strategies. That’s why we are opening the doors of the Pluartis Symposium 2026 to the next generation of scholars.

On 16 May 2026, our Director returned to the University of Luxembourg’s Belval Campus to participate in a specialized alumni event for the Master in Modern and Contemporary European Philosophy.

A pleasant surprise this week: the University of Luxembourg is using a photo from our Founder’s past to promote their upcoming Master Theaterwissenschaft und Interkulturalität alumni event.

On 16 May, Pluartis Founder and Director will return to his alma mater, the University of Luxembourg, for the “Being at a Time” alumni event.

On 2nd and 3rd May 2026, Professor Angie Hobbs joined a distinguished lineup of speakers at the Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford, for the two-day event, The Good, The Beautiful and The True.
