Her career represents the pinnacle of cultural exchange between Italy and North Macedonia, embodying our mission to bridge diverse worlds through rigorous intellectual work.

A Leading Authority in Linguistic Mediation

Dr. Nikodinovska’s work transcends mere translation; she is a cultural architect who has spent decades navigating the complexities of “relative translatability.” With a PhD focused on the didactics of translation from Italian into Macedonian and vice versa, her expertise is recognized at the highest levels of diplomacy and academia.

Diplomatic Precision: A trusted interpreter for high-level state delegations, she has facilitated vital dialogues between the Italian Republic and North Macedonia.

Literary Feats: She achieved a regional milestone with the first complete translation of all 200 of Italo Calvino’s Italian Folktales into a regional language – a task described by peers as a “true feat” of dedication.

Academic Leadership: Beyond her role at the Faculty of Philology “Blaže Koneski,” she is the Founder and Honorary President of the Association of Italian Language Teachers in North Macedonia.

Dr. Nikodinovska’s contribution to the dissemination of Italian culture has earned her the highest honours from the Italian state, including:

Orders of Merit: Awarded the rank of Knight (2004) and Officer (2019) of the Order of the Star of Italy by the President of the Italian Republic.

National Translation Prizes: Recipient of the prestigious Premio nazionale per la traduzione (2019) from the Italian Ministry of Culture, specifically honouring her masterful versification of Torquato Tasso’s Gerusalemme Liberata.

Literary Awards: Winner of the “Bozhidar Nastev” award for her translation of Dino Buzzati’s The Secret Shop.
